VINTAGE BEFORE MODERNBehind The Bend

If you've followed us on social media for the last couple of years, then you know our favorite way to start NYxDesign week is with our annual trek out to Brimfield Massachusetts for the Brimfield Flea Market. We like to think of it as a bit of a design palette cleanser, before all the new and modern design overwhelms us later on in the week. It's one of the largest flea markets that we have been to and we love every single inch of it.

Three times a year the small rural town of Brimfield Massachusetts, offers up its farm land to vintage and antique dealers from all over the country. You spend your day walking down a two lane country highway filled on both the right and left sides with venders for what seems like miles. As you can see from the photos in the gallery on the left, our size description is no exaggeration. It's size is definitely impressive, but the treasure hunting is what makes Broomfield such a magical place.

At Brimfield you'll find everything from century old architectural salvage, like statues and even stained glass windows from churches. Stunning mid-century modern finds like teak bar and dining sets in pristine condition. There are old factory machine parts and vintage toys and games. We could really go on all day, but you get the idea. If you ever have the chance to make it out, we highly recommend it. You can see the upcoming dates on their website HERE, and check out our Snapchat {BENDGOODS} for more of what we saw today. Now it's into the city we go to get this ICFF party started!
