From automotive sculpting to architectural furniture
Founded in 2010 by Gaurav Nanda, Bend Goods is the realization of a career spent mastering the discipline of the line. A sculptor and visual designer by trade, Nanda's perspective was sharpened as an automotive sculptor at General Motors — where he learned to translate fluid, complex forms into rigid, functional structures.
At Bend Goods, we apply that same automotive-grade precision to the architectural environment. Our wire furniture and aluminum tube pieces are an intensive study in proportion: the delicate tension between thin and thick, light and heavy, transparency and solid mass. Every piece is an exploration of how a line can occupy space.
We first redefined the possibilities of metal with the Lucy Chair, a wire-work icon that earned a permanent place in the LACMA permanent collection. Since then, our pieces have become staples of the global architectural landscape, including John Lautner's Sheats-Goldstein Residence.
I. The Philosophy
The bend is at the core of everything we do. Through precision and skill, we shape steel and aluminum into furniture that balances strength, beauty, and purpose.
More than a process, it is our approach to design: creating lasting forms from simple materials.
II. The Craft
Not by ease, but by discipline. Not by chance, but by intention.
Our work explores the relationship between material, structure, and function. From our signature wire designs to our Aluminum Tube collections, every piece is engineered to be both visually striking and built to last.
III. The Application
Designed for modern life.
Our collections are made for homes, hospitality spaces, and commercial environments. Designed for indoor and outdoor use, they bring durability, comfort, and character to the spaces where people gather.
• Residential: Sculptural comfort for everyday living.
• Hospitality: Furniture for restaurants, cafes, and hotels.
• Commercial: Durable designs for high traffic spaces.

Hows It's Made
Design & Structure
Every Bend Goods piece starts as a structural problem. We sketch, 3D model, and prototype until the geometry is resolved, balancing visual lightness with real world durability.
Fabrication & Bending
Wire and tube are precision bent and welded by hand. Our process is informed by automotive manufacturing, where exact tolerances and consistency define the outcome.
Finishing & Testing
Each piece is powder coated for long term durability and tested for indoor and outdoor use. We offer a curated palette of finishes, along with COM options for restaurant, hospitality, and contract projects.
