Modern Dining Tables: The Foundation of Connection

Aluminum, wire and metal dining and bar tables

Bend Goods makes dining and bar-height tables in aluminum, wire and steel for indoor and outdoor use. From compact bistro tables for two to full dining tables that seat eight, every piece is powder coated, built to commercial load standards and available in custom colors. The same table that performs on a restaurant patio works equally well in a home dining room.

Dining height vs. bar height

Dining height tables sit at approximately 28 to 30 inches, the standard for dining chairs. Bar height tables sit at approximately 40 to 42 inches, designed to pair with bar stools and counter stools. The Cafe Table and Get-Together dining tables are dining height. The Cafe Bar Table and Pedestal Bar Table are bar height, designed for standing bars and bar stool seating in restaurants and kitchens.

Bistro tables

Bistro tables are compact two-person dining tables and the standard format for cafe terraces, restaurant patios and small outdoor dining areas. Bend bistro tables feature wire bases powder coated in any color, with top options in stone, ceramic, glass and metal. The open wire base allows wind to pass through, making them stable on exposed outdoor terraces without anchoring. Used in the Beverly Hills Hotel pool deck installation and Intelligentsia Coffee in Santa Monica.

Cafe and pedestal tables

The Cafe Table is a wire-base dining table available in square and round tops, suited to indoor and outdoor cafe settings. The Pedestal Cafe Table uses a solid metal column base in three diameters: 24 inches, 30 inches and 42 inches. The pedestal base is the hospitality industry standard for easy cleaning, stability on uneven surfaces and flexibility for different party sizes. Available with round or square tops in multiple finishes and custom powder coat colors. The Pedestal Bar Table is the same base at bar height.

Full dining tables

The Get-Together Dining Table is available in 38 inches (seats 4) and 60 inches (comfortably seats 6, up to 8 with a squeeze) with a wire base and glass or stone top. Lightweight enough to move, strong enough for daily commercial use.

The Green Park Table

The Green Park Table is a new addition to the Bend range and part of the Green Park collection. A 60-inch perforated aluminum rectangle dining table that seats 8 people. The perforated surface allows water to drain through rather than pool, making it purpose-built for outdoor dining in any weather. Aluminum construction means it is naturally rust-proof and lightweight, with no coating required for corrosion resistance. The right choice for coastal environments, hotel terraces, pool decks and any fully exposed outdoor dining setting. Available in the Green Park powder coat palette.

Why metal and aluminum tables work for restaurants

Metal and aluminum tables do not absorb moisture, will not warp under heat and hold up to the daily cleaning cycles commercial environments require. Powder coat finishes resist chipping and UV degradation far longer than painted wood. The wire base construction keeps visual weight light, especially important in small dining rooms and covered terraces where a solid base would crowd the space. Bend tables are BIFMA rated for commercial-grade structural integrity under repeated load and use.

Custom colors

Every Bend table base is available in any RAL powder coat color in matte, satin, gloss or textured finish. Matching table bases to chair frames is standard for commercial orders. Contact Bend for custom color orders through the trade program.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a bistro table and a cafe table?
The Bistro Table is a compact two-person wire-base table typically used outdoors, with top options in stone, ceramic, glass and metal. The Cafe Table is a slightly larger wire-base table available in square and round tops, used in both indoor and outdoor cafe settings. Both are dining height at approximately 28 to 30 inches.

Can Bend tables be used outdoors?
Yes. Powder-coated steel and aluminum tables are both suited to outdoor use. Aluminum is naturally rust-proof and the best choice for coastal, high-humidity and snow environments. The Green Park Table is aluminum with a perforated surface so water drains through rather than pooling, making it ideal for fully exposed outdoor dining. Powder-coated steel works well in most outdoor environments and covered patios.

What top sizes are available for the Pedestal Cafe Table?
The Pedestal Cafe Table is available in three diameters: 24 inches, 30 inches and 42 inches. Both round and square tops are available depending on the size. See the product page for full top options and finishes.

What top materials are available on the Bistro Table?
The Bistro Table is available with stone, ceramic, glass and metal tops. The wire base is powder coated in any color independently of the top choice.

Are Bend dining tables BIFMA rated?
Yes. Bend tables are BIFMA rated for commercial load and structural integrity, the same standard as the Bend seating range.

Can I order matching tables and chairs in the same color?
Yes. Custom color matching across the Bend table and seating range is available for commercial orders. Contact the trade team for color specifications and lead times.
