The Curation

Brickell City Centre is a landmark mixed-use development located in the heart of Miami's financial district. During Miami Art Week, this high-traffic urban hub hosted CASACOR Miami, one of North America's most prestigious design exhibitions. The event brings together international design firms to create immersive environments that explore the intersection of art and architecture.

Our products were curated to serve as a bold centerpiece within this high-design landscape. In a limited space area where every element must pull double duty as both furniture and sculpture, the Hot Seat Lounge was selected to anchor the installation. Its vibrant presence and intricate geometry allow it to stand out against the sleek, modern decor of the Brickell district while providing a moment of "chromatic" energy for visitors.

The Synergy

The synergy between Bend Goods and CASACOR Miami lies in a shared commitment to "technical rigor" and the exploration of a "fluid structural language". Just as Brickell City Centre represents the pinnacle of modern urban development, the Hot Seat represents a 21st-century "reinvention" of the mid-century canon.

Bend was a great use case for this project because the Hot Seat has always "blurred the line between sculpture and furniture". Its "asymmetric triangular patterns" and precision CNC construction echo the architectural complexity of the Miami skyline. The chair provides a "visually radical" focal point that is durable enough for a busy exhibition while maintaining the "fine art" status expected at Miami Art Week.

The Legacy

CASACOR Miami is part of a global design legacy that celebrates "craftsmanship and design ambition". The installation featuring Bend Goods was led by the Miami-based firm By Lemme, known for their ability to create sophisticated, immersive environments.

By integrating the Hot Seat into this permanent chapter of Miami's design history, we continue the legacy of the Bauhaus and mid-century masters who knew that "wire, done right," is one of the most expressive materials in the world. Our chairs have been a part of this prestigious exhibition circuit for several seasons, proving that "longevity and chromatic range" are essential for icons of modern design.
