The Curation
When Los Angeles-based furniture curator BASK sets out to design a workplace kitchen, the result is anything but ordinary. This stunning communal kitchen, conceived within a converted warehouse space, is a study in contrasts: the warmth of exposed Douglas fir trusses and open skylights playing against the cool precision of sage-green cabinetry, terrazzo countertops, and polished concrete floors.
BASK specified the Lucy Bar Stool in Copper to anchor the curved island on the lounge side of the space, where the wire silhouette catches the natural light streaming through industrial steel-framed windows. The open wire form keeps the visual weight light against the island's tiled base, while the copper finish adds warmth and personality, a counterpoint to the muted, sophisticated palette surrounding it.
