The Race to the CenterpieceBehind The Bend
With December quickly speeding along, there is no time to waste getting our Holiday Decorations finalized. You might remember from Thanksgiving that we are suckers for a good table center piece. We were pretty happy with the one made for Thanksgiving, so we feel some pressure to do better. We are definitely planning to incorporate some of our awesome maker collaborators from the Pointy House like the test image you see here. Yes we've been testing center piece designs already, we know we're crazy, but we also found some very awesome and super simple ideas from House Beautiful. Our Top 4 are below and you can see the rest of them at the link provided along with some great photography. Happy designing!
FESTIVE FLOATING FLORA
This vivid centerpiece will take you just a few minutes. Simply fill various jars with water — stop just a few inches below the brim — and add American and Michigan holly. Purchase floating candles for a warm bonus.
GIFT BAG GALORE
Switch up Christmas grab bags for something a bit more glam. Brush brown paper gift bags with white paint, creating a snowy scene. Stuff with pine and branches before finishing with a wrap of charm-adorned twine. Neutral, minimal, beautiful.
MASON JAR SCENE
Would you believe that all it takes to make a mason jar look like it's half filled with snow is add epsom salt? Layer in cranberries, sprigs of juniper and candles, of course, for a stunning display. Alternate candle-lit and juniper mason jars for added country flair.
TEAL + BELLS
Forget silver and gold - Teal and gold makes for an equally stunning (and surprisingly festive) Christmas scene. This project couldn't be easier - Simply purchase a bag of jungle bells and three candles in the same hue. Put it all together on a rectangular serving dish and light candles 15 minutes before guests arrive for a sweet-smelling Christmas night.
