It's impossible not to be completely entrenched in what is going on in this country these days. It's hard to believe that there are still civil rights issues in this day and age in one of the most progressive countries in the world. It has us thinking a lot about the protests and rallies that are going on and how they seem to always end in violence. We need to find more constructive and peaceful ways of voicing our frustrations. We need to go back to the days when music was the expression of the moment.

For this weeks Behind the Bend, we are giving you our updated playlist. It's not just any playlist though. It's a playlist full of songs that were written at times when change was needed. They are protest songs that still ring true today and express emotion and frustration like no guns or violence ever could. These are songs with lyrics that should be shouted from the roofs tops so loudly that you can't be ignored.

In the coming days, weeks maybe even months, we urge you to please find a way to express yourself that leads to positivity not injury or something even worse. This country can be great again. We just have to work together to find peaceful resolutions to our disagreements and understand and respect all of our neighbors, no matter their skin color, religion, sexual orientation or culture. We are all one and together, as one, we are all unstoppable.
