NYCxDesign RecapBehind The Bend
by Hugh Long·
After spending a week in New York City, our time at NYCxDesign has come to a close! We look forward to this week every year and this year’s shows and fairs did NOT disappoint. We started off the week by installing our first ever booth at Wanted Design - Manhattan. The booth featured an abstracted mountain sculpture designed by our talented Product Designers. We were so thrilled with how it turned out and with how much everyone enjoyed interacting with it. Our second booth was located at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair New York at the Javits Center. ICFF NY is HUGE, so making sure your booth stands out is of utmost importance. With a lot of work and even more patience, we are happy to say that it went off without a hitch! The new Cloud Bench and The Art Piece debuted to rave reviews and tons of smiling faces.
Trade show like Wanted and ICFF are always a bit overwhelming, so having fellow vendors alongside you to help and inspire you to keep plugging away is a wonderful silver lining. Walking around and viewing the innovative products at both shows provided respite for our team and allowed us to support our fellow designers. We collaborated with Color Cord by providing a Peacock Chair in Peachy Pink for their lighting cord focussed booth that turned out beautifully! Additionally, we provided Captain Chairs for the ICFF Press Room that allowed people to interact with our products to a further extent. The amount of creative energy at the shows was palpable and every vendor showed just how talented their team truly is.
From trade shows to vendor appointments to parties, we did it all this past week! We cannot wait for NYCxDesign 2018. Countdown starts now!
