INTRO/LA x LADF RecapBehind The Bend

The Spring/Summer Trade Show Season has been a whirlwind, but we couldn't help but participate in one more event: L.A. Design Festival! LADF produced multiple events all over the city featuring the best of Angeleno furniture, apparel, and graphic designers. We were asked by Small Office to participate in the INTRO/LA furniture design show located in the newly opened retail spaces at The Row. The Row is an industrial space in Downtown Los Angeles that was formerly occupied by American Apparel’s production factory. The space’s history as a site for apparel design and production made it the perfect location for a show centered around creative design!

Bend put together a seating lounge for the INTRO/LA show featuring some of our newest pieces, including the Cloud Bench and the Wax Side Table, alongside installations from other furniture and lighting designers. Throughout the weekend we got to know our fellow exhibitors and saw all the work that they put into their designs. This kind of event is more intimate than the other trade shows that we participate in, which was a nice change of pace for our team!

After a few days of exhibiting and a couple parties celebrating LADF, we wrapped up our Summer Trade Show Season. We can’t wait to tell you our plans for the Fall Trade Show Season! Stayed tuned for more.
