How To Bend A Schwinn
Happy Wednesday everyone! We hope this finds you having a great start to November. We are off and running getting everything prepped and ready for WestEdge. All the fun starts tomorrow evening with the opening night party. The party isn't all good times and awesome design though. It's a charity event that benefits the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House, and we have partnered with Schwinn and some really cool designers to have a little fun for the silent auction portion of the evening.
The show kicks off with guests enjoying a festive evening of shopping the latest in design, all while enjoying cocktails, fine food and a silent auction. The auction itself celebrates Los Angeles’ growing bike movement and offers guests the chance to bid on 20+ unique Schwinn Bicycles, each stylized by a different design personality or brand. Schwinn Bicycles has teamed up with design teams from Pinterest, as well as designers like our fearless leader Gaurav Nanda, Kelly Edwards of HGTV, Estee Stanley and Brigette Romanek of Hancock Design, designer and TV personality Nicole Facciuto, lifestyle maven Amy Devers and set decorator Peter Gurski, among other taste makers, to offer lucky bidders one-of-a-kind bikes. Proceeds from the evening will help renovate the 75-room Ronald McDonald House whose mission is to provide accommodation and support to families of seriously ill children.
We are so excited to be participating in this silent auction we can't even tell you. We've had a lot of fun working on the bike. Like our furniture, we looked for ways to make it innovative and creative but also functional and comfortable. The photo you see here is basically every idea that we had during our brainstorm session all rolled into one. You can head to our official instagram @BENDGOODS for a behind the scenes video of our Schwinn being worked on. Be sure and stay tuned to Instagram tomorrow though for a look at the refined, finished product. If you're in LA there is still time to register for WestEdge and join in on the fun too.
